CANISTER OR DOUBLE DUMP VALVE SYSTEM
PRIMARILY FOR A BATCH PROCESS OPERATION
Entire conveying line is under a vacuum. A single canister
or 2 or more canisters in parallel are located at the discharge
point of the system. Product is drawn in at the pick up point,
conveyed in tubes or ducts to a canister. At the canister
the conveying air velocity reduces to the point where product
falls out of the conveying air stream and collects in the
canister.
At some point that canister must come off line and discharge
its contents.
With a single canister it would be necessary to shut down
the conveying line where as with multiple canisters, a diverting
arrangement will permit the conveying system to remain in
operation while the product is diverted from the full canister
to an empty one.
