Fireplace/Wood Oven
Intended for hotels and high-end homes, our fireplace exhaust systems include draft inducers that create an instant, reliable draft for all types of combustion equipment. Draft inducers are used as an integral part of an exhaust system to vent the products of combustion from gas or wood fireplaces and wood-fired ovens. By creating the most favorable conditions for combustion, the draft inducers increase efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and enhance clean burning.
CASE STUDY: CONNECTING FIVE FIREPLACES IN HAWAII ESTATE HOME
Background
Renovation of an historical estate home with five fireplaces located in various wings of the large home.
Problem
Variety of issues including some chimney flues that were too small and too short, as well as some with long horizontal runs and some that had too many elbows.
Solution
To preserve the architectural design of the building, eductor tubes were installed in the chimneys as part of the flues rather than mounted on top of the chimneys. Our engineers developed a custom solution using a variety of eductor tube sizes to correct the problems encountered. The output of multiple blowers was remotely adjusted using a variable frequency drive controller.
