Quickdraft Earns ISO Certification

We are pleased to announce that The International Organization of Standardization (ISO) has certified Quickdraft in its world-recognized 9001:2015 Quality Management System.

CANTON, Ohio — Quickdraft, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of conveying and exhaust systems, has been recognized for its commitment to customer satisfaction by the world’s foremost industrial quality-assurance organization.

The International Organization of Standardization (ISO) has certified the Canton-based Quickdraft in its world-recognized 9001:2015 QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. ISO, which represents the standards bodies of more than 160 countries, establishes guidelines that allow companies to ensure that their customers consistently receive high-quality products and services while also following all applicable standards and statutes.

“This certification shows what our longtime customers have known for a long time,” said General Manager Joe Ovnic. “We are committed to providing the very best products with the very best service in the conveying and exhaust systems field.”

To earn the certification, Quickdraft had to pass examinations in seven core principles: 1) Customer focus; 2) Leadership; 3) Engagement of people; 4) Process approach; 5) Improvement; 6) Evidence-based decision-making; and 7) Relationship management.

“This will confirm to new customers that we deliver quality,” Ovnic said. “I’m extremely proud of our team and the hard work put into achieving this.”

Quickdraft systems, which are manufactured in Canton, provide solutions to conveying and exhaust challenges to a variety of industries, including food conveying and exhaust, metals conveying, laboratory exhaust and much more.

Quickdraft celebrated its 65th birthday in 2018. The company was founded in 1953 as Basic Improvements, Inc., in the historic Dueber-Hampden Watch Works building in Canton. It became Quickdraft in 1957.
